Labor Lovelies LLC is owned and operated by Nedra Miller MSN, APRN, FNP, CNM. She began her career in nursing after graduating from the University of Florida in 1993. Since that time, she attended the University of Tampa's Family Nurse Practitioner Program and Frontier Nursing University's Nurse Midwifery program. The State of Florida's Department of Health, Board of Nursing has authorized Nedra to practice autonomously. Her years of education and experience have prepared her for this role.
Nedra offers care to women and their families. Insurance is accepted. Prompt pay discounts are available for care paid at the time of service if you are uninsured or underinsured.
Services offered include: Well Woman Care, Family Planning, Birth Control, Prenatal care, and Testing/Treatment for sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, Nedra offers community support to licensed midwives needing medical care for their client's. Families who have had a newborn at home are required to have a medical screening within 48 hours. Nedra will make a home visit to evaluate your newborn for any abnormalities that would require prompt attention and referral. Please call for details.
During your inital visit you can expect a thorough review of your medical, surgical and obstetrical history to determine the best plan of care for you. If you are pregnant, you will be guided to the most appropriate birth setting. If you are low risk and meet the criteria you may choose to deliver at home. Otherwise, delivery will be arranged with the hospital of your choice when the time comes. Doula support is encouraged for hospital births.

Nedra will make a home visit to evaluate your newborn for any abnormalities that would require prompt attention and referral.
Out of hospital birth has become important to many families wishing to have more control over their birth environment. Choosing who will be present and how you will be supported is an important aspect of birth. If it is determined at any point in your pregnancy that you are not a candidate for a home birth, rest assure, we will guide you in achieving the birth you desire at the hospital of your choice.
